HACCP Certified
The team at the Muskoka Roastery is excited and proud that we have taken another step forward in our pursuit of consistently delivering Canada's best coffee. This month we received HACCP certification for our Roastery. Leaving aside all the technical details, what exactly is the benefit to you as a coffee drinker?
In short, it means that we have well defined systems in place to control the quality of the materials entering our Roastery, and processes to consistently and safely turn those materials into 100% certified, handcrafted coffee. Plus, in the unlikely event that there are problems with the coffee you buy, we have the ability to trace your purchase back all the way to the farm where the coffee was grown to find the root cause of the issue.
It`s tempting to say that purchasers of any food or beverage product should insist that the manufacturer has achieved some level of plant certification. Easy to say now that we have cleared the bar. But, given that we all place a high value on food safety, it is pretty sound advice.
Our news means that you can start your grocery shopping list with full confidence in at least one item - your choice of coffee!
